There are two ways to arrange nodes: moving them manually and using Auto layout. This article summarizes the behavior of each.
Specifications
Snapping to Grid
When you drag and place a node, it automatically snaps to a grid based on the center line of the Start Node and End Node. The same grid is applied when dropping from the toolbar, and the node is placed with its center aligned to the cursor position.
Restricting Movement with the Keyboard
Holding the Shift key while dragging restricts movement to horizontal, vertical, or 45-degree directions. This also applies when multiple nodes are selected.
Alignment

When multiple nodes are selected, they can be aligned using options such as align left, align center, and align top. An alignment operation can be undone with a single Undo.
Auto layout

Auto layout arranges nodes according to the following rules.
- Execution Nodes in series are placed on the baseline.
- In a branch with a main flow, the main flow side continues along the baseline, while the other side is shifted horizontally.
- Parallel branches with no main flow are placed at equal distances to the left and right of the baseline.
- A node where branched paths merge is aligned to the same center as the branch.
Routes for edges (arrows) that avoid nodes are also selected automatically. Edges for branches and return paths are routed to bypass other nodes and edges.
