The value of a process diagram depends on what you put into each node. Do not stop at just creating the shape of the diagram.

What you can configure on an Execution Node

Node Name…What is done in that step
Description…Supplementary information
Duration…How long it takes
Task Type…One of: Decision, Routine, or Automated. Used when considering improvements
Badge…Indicates things such as Approval or Forbidden
Assignment labels…Whose task it is
Detailed process…Reference destination when breaking out into a separate process diagram
Manual/Link…Teachme Biz manuals or Outside Links

Set assignment labels to enable Swimlanes

When you set assignment labels, you can switch to Swimlane view to rearrange and view tasks by who is responsible for them. Tasks are also color-coded by assignment label, making it useful when discussing the division of roles between departments.

Set Task Type in advance

Task Type (Decision, Routine, or Automated) is used for aggregation in improvement Reports. For nodes where this is not set, AI will estimate it from the content, but setting it in advance leads to more accurate aggregation.

Switch views when making edits

When entering information into nodes, node list view is well suited for the task. Since Duration and whether a Manual is attached are visible at a glance, it becomes easier to spot nodes with missing information.

If you are editing the flow itself, use the flow view. If you are reviewing how responsibilities are divided, use the Swimlane view. Switch views according to what you want to fix.
