The following Messages may appear when you change or remove User-Specific Permissions.
- Cannot remove the last editor from the process. At least one editor is required.
- Cannot change the last editor to viewer. At least one editor is required.
- Cannot change the creator. The creator is automatically assigned when the process is created.
Cause
Messages regarding the last editor appear when there is only one editor in the process and you attempt to remove that person or change them to a viewer. This is by design to prevent a process from having no editors.
Messages regarding the creator appear when you attempt to change the permissions of the process creator. This is by design, as the creator's permissions cannot be changed.
Resolution
If you want to change the last editor, first grant editing permissions to another person, and then remove or change the target person to a viewer.
Even if the Organization-Wide Permission is set to "Edit," a separate editor under User-Specific Permissions is still required.
